PRINCETON, N.J. - May 13, 2013

Triveni Digital today announced that Ralph Bachofen, the company’s vice president of sales and head of marketing, will be a speaker and featured panelist during the BroadcastAsia2013 International Conference in Singapore. During the Next-Gen Technology conference track, Bachofen will participate in the panel discussion “What Does Hybrid TV Really Mean — Broadcast or Broadband?” at 11:45 a.m. on June 18. He will also present on “Strategies for Monetizing Hybrid Television Services” as part of the OTT conference track at 2:30 p.m. on June 19. The presentation and panel discussion both explore the current state of the connected TV environment, providing attendees with insight into how to develop hybrid television services and deliver a more engaging television experience to viewers.

“Television viewing is dramatically evolving into a personalized and interactive experience as consumer electronics manufacturers roll out hybrid TVs,” said Bachofen. “As the number of connected TV households grows, it’s important that broadcasters develop an effective business plan for capitalizing on these new capabilities. My presentation will identify strategies for integrating broadcast, OTT, and social networking content to engage hybrid TV viewers and monetize the connected TV platform.”

Bachofen will examine the value of partnerships between content providers and connected device manufacturers so that they can coexist profitably. He will also outline strategies to deploy new revenue-generating services, including targeted advertising and non-real-time content.

During the moderated panel discussion on June 18, Bachofen will join a group of industry experts in discussing hybrid services, products, and technologies that are currently available. Among other topics, the panel will explain how hybrid TV impacts the roles of various market players and how players can exploit the connected platform to create engaging experiences.

Bachofen has more than 20 years of experience in voice and multimedia over IP, telecommunications, and in the semiconductor business as head of Triveni Digital’s sales and marketing group. His professional career includes senior technical and marketing roles at Conexant Systems, Siemens, and Accelerated Networks. Bachofen holds an executive master’s degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in telecommunication technologies.
