StreamScope® Software Release With Mobile DTV Analysis and Audio Loudness Verification
At Canitec 2012, Triveni Digital will highlight its StreamScope® MT-40 4.7 with mobile DTV analysis capabilities. This release of the company’s comprehensive real-time DTV transport stream analysis and verification solution gives users the ability to monitor multiple terrestrial and mobile transport streams in real time, from any location across the network using a single integrated product. Because StreamScope MT-40 4.7 provides the same level of analysis for mobile transport streams as it does for terrestrial DTV, broadcasters can not only view Extended Program Guide (EPG) and Electronic Service Guide (ESG) data sets and program guides, but they can also verify ATSC, MPEG, A-78, SCTE, DVB-SI, ISDB, and ATSC M/H standards and protocols. The software enables operators to monitor mobile video frame timing and structure, parade and ensemble usage, required SCC tables, ESG data, and much more from just one GUI. Ongoing MT-40 software updates from Triveni Digital ensure that users remain equipped to work with the latest DTV technologies.
Additionally, Triveni Digital’s StreamScope MT-40 now enhances the comprehensive real-time analysis and verification of DTV transport streams with loudness monitoring. With a new software release, StreamScope provides end-to-end MPEG-2/MPEG-4 transport stream analysis and monitoring for DTV services carried by broadcast, cable, satellite, and IPTV networks. Building from StreamScope’s already powerful audio monitoring capabilities including dialnorm, the MT-40’s new software release extends those capabilities by allowing users to monitor and analyze audio loudness according to ITU-R Recommendation BS.1770. The enhanced feature enables broadcasters to log and export accurate LKFS/LUFS loudness measurements of transport streams continuously in real time in order to collect the forensic evidence of compliance that is critical for addressing this issue.
GuideBuilder® PSIP/SI Generation System for Cable Operators
With cable operators deploying clear QAM digital basic lineups, the Triveni Digital GuideBuilder® system provides all the tools necessary to get channel and guide information to customers with digital televisions offering built in clear-QAM tuners, as well as to customers with basic, non-decrypting, digital set-top boxes. The system’s virtual channel map allows channel numbers to be the same for customers with or without a box, enabling operators to ensure that the transition to “all digital” is seamless for subscribers. GuideBuilder also gives clear QAM customers channel branding and an Extended Program Guide (EPG).
